Design Notes

In order to make this biobrick, we had to remove several illegal restriction sites using silent mutations. Furthermore, we have optimised the sequence using both GC content and codon tables into account to enable the synthesis as a gBlock fragment.

The part is based on the RNA sequence of the potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 2 (Kcnj2) in mice (Mus musculus).
